The Public Health Problem The United States is facing a flourishing epidemic of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infections which is rapidly progressing and contributing to the rising mortality rates. HIV is an infection that is caused when a virus attacks the immune system which is the body’s natural defense system and without a strong immune system, an individual’s body is too weak to fight off infections. The strongest component of the immune system to fight off infectious diseases is white blood cells. HIV infects and destroys†¦show more content†¦Individuals with HIV may not notice and/or realize their symptoms because they may not appear for up to 10 years (CDC, 2013). The symptoms include rapid weight loss, recurring fever and/or profuse night sweats, extreme and unexplained tiredness, prolonged swelling of the lymph glands in the armpits, groin, or neck, and/or diarrhea that lasts for more than a week. Within the United States, over 1.2 million people are living with HIV infection and about 13% of them are unaware of their infection. Additionally, it is estimated that 50,000 new HIV infections are developing each year (CDC,2013). In the year 2013, about 47,352 people were newly diagnosed with HIV infections and overall 1,194,039 have been diagnosed with AIDS (CDC, 2013). Unfortunately in the year 2012, about 13,712 people with AIDS and about 670,000 people in the United States have died overall because they were unaware of their infection which caused them to develop AIDS, the untreatable disease (CDC, 2012). In regards to a concentrated population, adolescents/adults (age 13 years and over), carry the highest risk for HIV infections (Campsmith,2010) . In the year 2006, about 1,106,400 adolescents/adults were diagnosed and living with HIV in the United States and about 232,700 individuals who were unaware of their infection and went undiagnosed

National Incident Management System To better understand the National Incident Management System we must first understand why there was a need for such a program. There are several emergency incidents to date that would show that this system was needed. However I believe that it can be brought back to the fires in the 1970’s. (Boles, Coniglio, Martin, Martin, 2012) The main incident that provide beyond a doubt that this system was needed was the 9/11 tragedy. That day changed not only how we respond and handle situations like this but, it also changed America and all her citizens. We realized that we are more susceptible to an attack on our own lands than we thought. Gone went the idea that we are only as safe we think. The National Incident Management System (NIMS) did not start out with this name. The initial idea came about in the 1970’s when the Incident Command System (ICS) was born also the National Response Framework. (Boles, Coniglio, Martin, Martin, 2012) This system ICS was developed by the Federal, State, and Local wildland fire agencies. When this system founded it had five functional tiers that were used; command, operations, planning, logistics and finance/administration. (Center, 2011) These tiers are still used today. Allison Allison has all the components of becoming a successful bartender for the bar of Mr. Luger. He is very much communicative, have vast experience of mixing drinks and a degree holder of hospitality management. In addition to that, he excels in his acquisition of a certificate course in liquors, spirits and wines. He is the best fit for the post as he fulfills all the above eligibility mentioned in the criterion list. He has the capability of reading individual minds and interacts with the consumers, thus contributing towards organizational success in the competitive market. Conclusion On the contrary, it concludes that, Mr. Luger can be satisfied while selecting Allison for the post of bartender on Lugar Sports Bar and Grill. Allison is not only a good listener, but he has also mastered the art of fake listening. A person who recently broke up with his partner will require a ear for pouring his sorrow out in an effective manner. In this scenario, the communication skills of Allison can come into existence. His record of accomplishment suggests that he is an honest and trustworthy employee for the bar.
